Workforce identity has been the point of failure across every recent major enterprise breach. A single phone call cost MGM $100m. The same playbook hit M&S and Co-op for an estimated £270–440m. A finance worker authorised a $25.6m transfer to a deepfake of his CFO on a video call. And fake remote workers have infiltrated organisations across the Fortune 500 and US government.
These attacks succeed because of a structural gap. Zero Trust modernised how we verify credentials, devices, and sessions but inherited one assumption: if the credential is valid, the human is legitimate. That gap always existed. AI has simply exploited it at scale, turning the craft of a few into a commodity available to anyone with an internet connection.
This peer-led conversation while fine-dining will explore how identity became synthetic, from credentials to deepfakes to agents, and sets out what it now takes to prove there’s a human behind the screen. What is working, what isn’t, where the challenges lie.
What does this mean in practice for us as CISOs? We are bringing together a small group of CISOs over dinner in central London for a private CISO 360 Roundtable to benchmark approaches, compare experiences and learn from what others are seeing and doing.
The evening is centred around one table conversation: Where are organisations today? What are CISOs changing? Which approaches are gaining traction? Where are the gaps? What can we learn from one another?
Held under The Chatham House Rule, this closed-door roundtable is designed to enable a candid conversation between peers. The aim is for everyone around the table to come away with a valuable peer benchmark: a clearer view of where their organisation sits relative to others, what fellow CISOs are prioritising, what they are doing differently, and which questions remain unresolved.Â
