A successful senior Chief Information Security Officer and Operational Risk Director with a proven track record in multi-cultural and multi-national organisations. Able to bridge technical and business disciplines and communicate at all levels. Extensive knowledge of Information Security, Cyber Security, Physical Security, BCDR, Operational Risk, Crisis Management, Data Protection, Financial Crime and Compliance. The first 16 years of Graham’s career were spent in the Diplomatic Service engaged in technical security for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. He then moved to the financial services sector where he has held senior security posts with Abbey National, Standard Chartered, Barclays, RBS, HBOS and ING. Through these roles he has developed a holistic approach to risk management and security, holding responsibility for information risk, IT security, physical security, fraud, money laundering, business continuity planning, compliance, crisis management and intelligence. He has also worked outside of the banking industry as the Group Head of Information Risk for Centrica. He then held the position of Director of Data Security at Nationwide Building Society before taking the role as Head of Information Security at Camelot Lottery Solutions and then Interim Head of Cyber Security at Yorkshire Water. He has a master’s degree in Information Security from Royal Holloway.

Frank Gardner OBE
BBC’s Security Correspondent and Author

Frank spent nine years as an investment banker in New York, London and Bahrain before switching to journalism and joining the BBC in 1995. Frank has reported extensively on the global ˜War on Terror’ in Guantanamo Bay, Yemen, Afghanistan, Iraq and elsewhere in the Middle East. In 2004 Frank survived being shot six times at close range by Al-Qaeda terrorists in a Riyadh suburb in Saudia Arabia. He went on to write the best-selling book Blood and Sand, the poignant story of what can happen to your belief system when the culture you have embraced ends up trying to kill you. Frank has gone onto write three best-selling spy thrillers Crisis, Ultimatum and Outbreak. He was awarded an OBE in 2005 for services to journalism. In 2018 he was awarded the University of Southern California’s Tommy Trojan Trophy for distinguished speaking. As a career broadcaster and a witty and gifted communicator, Frank shares his passion for the Middle East, travel and adventure. He draws on a unique perspective and understanding of both domestic and international security.

Adam has 25 years international experience in managing IT and Information Security mainly in Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical, Consumer Goods, Telecommunication and Financial Services industries. Founding member of ClubCISO, Consumer Goods Security Forum in the UK and Information Security Forum in Malaysia – peer groups of CISOs and Heads of Information Security formed to exchange good practices and experience within specific focus groups. Adam has significant experience consulting and advising boards of directors of FTSE100/Fortune500 companies on Information Security, Privacy, Risk Management and Resilience. The current role is Chief Information Security Officer at SKF. 


Colette is CISO for Checkout.com, a cloud-based payments platform. Before joining Checkout.com she held leadership roles at Skype, Microsoft and Nokia. Specialising in pragmatic and creative solutions for complex and evolving compliance requirements, she is passionate about embedding security and privacy in operations, products and services from design to delivery. Her focus is comprehensive reduction of technology-related risk for the business and for the customer. Colette holds an MSc. in Information Security from Royal Holloway and is CISSP, CISM, CIPP, CDPSE.

Dimitri Chichlo has more than 15 years of experience in the fields of cybersecurity and data protection, initially as a practitioner, holding different senior and deputy CISO roles in international banking institutions. Since 2020, he is an independent consultant in cybersecurity and digital transformation, with a focus on strategy and governance, has delivered numerous projects in Europe and Asia, and holds roles as a CISO-as-a-Service. From 2019 to 2023, he was the vice-chairman of the Supervisory Board and chair of the Operations and Digital Committee of Ukreximbank, the third largest and state-owned bank in Ukraine, where he supervised the digital transformation, cybersecurity and business continuity enhancement of the bank. From 2024 to 2025, he was the Chief Security Officer of BforeAI, a company that developed a service that predicts cyberattacks through AI. He holds an Executive MBA from INSEAD.

Dr. Eduardo Solana is Senior Lecturer of Cryptography and Security at the University of Geneva. Amongst others, Dr. Solana has worked for IBM and PricewaterhouseCoopers where he was Global Subject Matter Expert for authentication solutions. He has more than twenty five years of experience in the fields of cryptography and information security both in the private sector and the academia. Dr. Solana is a deeply experienced security practitioner, technical writer and regular speaker at the most relevant conferences and symposia in the field. During his extensive career, he has provided consulting services to multinational organizations and states in security related issues.

 

A distinguished legal expert in the field of technology and data protection, this male speaker brings a wealth of knowledge and practical experience to the forefront of ICT law discussions. With a Master’s degree in IP & IT Law, he has honed his expertise in the intricate intersection of intellectual property and information technology. Currently pursuing his PhD at Masaryk University, focusing on ICT Law, he continues to push the boundaries of legal scholarship in this rapidly evolving field. Indy Dhiman is a seasoned cybersecurity practitioner specializing in healthcare and MedTech product security. With deep expertise in securing connected medical devices, cloud-integrated systems, and AI-enabled diagnostics. She has helped organizations build resilient, compliant, and innovation-ready healthcare technologies. Passionate about the intersection of patient safety, privacy, and emerging technologies, Indy advises on secure-by-design architecture, FDA cybersecurity readiness, and responsible AI adoption in regulated environments.

Jake Bernardes is a seasoned CISO with extensive experience spanning technical consultancy, advisory roles, and executive leadership. Jorge Fernandes is the CISO, DPO and Director of the Internal Control Office at CMVM, the Portuguese securities supervisor. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and several certifications in information security and data protection.

Jorge has more than 20 years of professional experience in Information Security in the financial services sector. His experience as CISO includes the European Securities and Markets Authority and the Council of Europe Development Bank. He is currently a member of several European regulatory groups regarding cybersecurity, operational resilience, and the digitalisation of the financial sector.

For over 40 years, Julia has been a noteworthy leader in the information security space. You may know her from her work at various financial institutions, telecommunications providers, media companies, charities, a big 4 consultancy, gambling, a government business and now the Travel Industry. Julia can also be credited with contributions to the industry as a speaker at many Global and UK based conferences, such as Infosec at Olympia / Earls Court, Pulse Conferences and at the Information Security Forum’s global congress. Julia tends to specialise in governance, policy, risk and the human aspects of information security.

Julia is passionate about Information Security and likes to have fun at work and home.  Julia is now supporting Flight Centre’s corporate clients in all things infosec, now working 4 days a week, and frankly ready for ventures new in retirement.

Julia was a council member for the UK within the Information Security Forum (ISF) for 3 years. She sat on the committee of the British Computer Society (BCS) Information Security Specialist group for many years, and also sat on the Data Protection Expert Panel for the BCS

Justin is a military veteran with 25 years of full and part time experience. With degrees from the University of Durham and King’s College, London, he was initially a corporate finance analyst at JP Morgan Chase & Co before being called up for military service after 9/11. This started a security focused career that led to founding Sibylline. He continues to serve as a Challenger 2 Main Battle Tank commander with the Royal Wessex Yeomanry in the UK.  His focus areas are global jihadism, the evolution of cyber and technical threats, and the creation of innovative and effective risk models. He is an acknowledged authority on business intelligence, global risk analysis and governance, the Vice President of the Association of International Risk Intelligence Professionals (AIRIP); a member of the UK Risk and Security Management Forum; on the steering group of the International Security Foundationand mentors next generation military professionals starting in business through Heropreneurs. He has on-the-ground experience in over 65 countries and is a regular print and broadcast media commentator, as well as the author of Corporate Security Intelligence and Strategic Decision Making, the first work dedicated to the topic.

Jonathan is an experienced lawyer based at Punter Southall Law in London working on compliance & technology.  He is also a Professor at Fordham Law School teaching a new post-graduate course on international compliance and a Director at L-EV8 working to increase cybersecurity skills on boards.

Jonathan’s professional practice includes advising organisations on risk and compliance across Europe.  This includes work on:

  • Prevention (e.g. putting in place policies and procedures);
  • Training (including state of the art video learning); and
  • Cure (such as investigations and dealing with regulatory authorities).

Jonathan has handled legal matters in more than 60 countries.  He has handled more than 250 data breaches and has worked extensively with technology legislation including GDPR, NIS2, DORA & the EU AI Act.  He has conducted a wide range of investigations of various shapes and sizes, a request to appear before a UK Parliamentary enquiry and led clients through real and simulated bet-the-company situations.

Jonathan is also regarded as an acknowledged expert on AI and he currently serves on the New York State Bar Association’s AI Task Force looking at the impact of AI on law and regulation.  Jonathan also sits on the Law Society AI Group.

Jonathan is a co-author of LexisNexis’ definitive work on technology law, “Managing Risk: Technology & Communications”.  In addition to being a lawyer, Jonathan is a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Marketing.  He has spoken at conferences in the US, Japan, Korea, Canada, China, Brazil, Singapore, Vietnam, Mexico, the Middle East & across Europe.

Jonathan qualified as a lawyer in the UK in 1991 and has focused on technology and risk and governance matters for more than 25 years.  Jonathan has been selected as one of the Thomson Reuters stand-out lawyers for 2024 – an honour bestowed on him every year since the survey began.  Thomson Reuters has listed Jonathan as the 6th most influential figure in risk, compliance and fintech in the UK.  Jonathan is listed as a Super Lawyer and has been listed in Legal Experts from 2002 to date.

In his role with the technology team at Censys, he helps customers uncover threats and vulnerabilities before they become risks.

Lady Olga Maitland, Founder, Defense and Security Forum and Chairman, Copenhagen Compliance – has wide experience in all major Governance, risk Management and Compliance issues in general and global Fraud and Corruption problems in particular. She is a special adviser to a number of dignitaries and a widely sought after speaker at all Major Conferences on several Corporate Governance issues. Lady Olga is a former British MP for the Conservative party. Prior to her political career she was a reporter for the Fleet Street News Agency, a columnist in the London.

Owanate is the founder of Bestman Solutions, a firm dedicated to helping leaders hire cyber security professionals. He advises CISOs and Executives on market factors that impact their growth plans and designs bespoke solutions to address this. Firmly embedded in the cyber security space, he possesses a global core network of well-respected and proven security specialists. Owanate has spent almost a decade recruiting in the Cyber Security field. Appointed by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) as its first Director of Aviation Security on 1st April 2014. Peter is the Aviation Security Regulator for the UK and overseas cyber security performance of the UK aviation sector. He previously served as Director of Security & Business Continuity for the Home Office for 5 years. Prior to this, Peter had served for 32 years in the Royal Air Force from which he retired as an Air Commodore in April 2007. His last appointments were as Provost Marshal for the RAF and Commandant General of the Royal Air Force Regiment. He has been a Corporate Security Director for 20 years.

Paul Colnan is the CISO at NewDay, financial services. Paul has 15 years of cyber security experience, including advising some of the world’s largest brands and he works with the board to enable secure and trusted commerce. He has an ‘ethical hacker’ background, which helps him tackle complex security issues, but he also cares about driving effective change through clear leadership and communication.  Paul has been a CISO in various sectors, including fintech, logistics, and manufacturing, and before joining NewDay he was CISO at ION, he was an Executive Director at JP Morgan Chase, where he held security roles in retail banking, M&A and cloud platform security teams. He was CISO of Revolut and Group CISO of Unipart Group. Paul likes aviation and is pursuing his private pilot’s licence in his spare time.

Qasim Raza is an accomplished Technology Programme Delivery Lead at Barclays, with over 15 years of experience across the IT and Financial Services sectors. His expertise lies in leading complex technology programmes, driving Digital Transformation, and implementing Strategic Technology Solutions within highly regulated environments.

Qasim began his career in engineering as a Database Engineer at Capgemini, later progressing to lead Deloitte’s Microsoft Technical Support team for external audits. His journey into Financial Services has seen him evolve from a Technology Risk Manager to a Senior Leadership role at Barclays, where he now leads the delivery of major technology initiatives across Infrastructure Services.

His core areas of expertise include Cloud Migration strategy, Cyber Remediation, IT Audit and Compliance, and Regulatory Transformation. He has successfully delivered technology programmes with budgets of up to £20 million, including workplace and collaboration tools deployed to over 400+ employees. Qasim is known for his ability to manage global teams, engage senior stakeholders including CIOs and Audit Partners, and deliver results in high-pressure, high-impact environments.

Beyond his professional commitments, Qasim served on the Advisory Committee for AI 2030, contributing to conversations around responsible and innovative technology adoption. Outside of work, he is an avid hiker and runner, having recently completed the UK’s Three Peaks Challenge within 24 hours.

Quentyn Taylor is Director of Information Security at Canon Europe, Middle East and Africa. Using the power of stories and his own experience of testing products to destruction; Quentyn has embraced building business relationships across the world whilst driving Canon’s strategy and educating business customers to minimise their security risk. Before joining Canon, Quentyn has worked in a variety of industries such as Internet service providers as well as startup businesses.

Her approach is led by a core understanding of business risks and strategy which enables her to tailor security outcomes to support the achievement of business objectives. Career experience includes professional services, consultancy, and industry positions specialising in the financial services and energy sectors. Most recently Reena led the establishment of a security function covering all capabilities in a financial services firm as the Head of Information Security. Reena specialises in security transformation scenarios that involve root cause analysis, setting security strategy, establishing structure, promoting collaboration, and garnering support from Boards and Executive Committees. Reena is proudly female, ethnic, comes from a working-class socio-economic background and a working parent. Having a diverse background has enabled her to set-up diverse teams very naturally with a focus on providing equity to all and celebrating everyone’s individuality. Dr Leivesley, sally@newrisk.com works on generic solutions to catastrophic risks to critical infrastructure across all disciplines and contributes practical applications to government policy and business. She has been a Panel adviser to for the British IET and CPNI supported publication for Cyber Security in the Built Environment.
As an Advisor to companies and governments on protection of people and infrastructure and strategies for security and business Dr Leivesley has worked across industry sectors gas and petrochemicals; power distribution; hazardous goods transportation by rail; underground and aboveground rail; underground mines; bulk shipping and banks.
As an international media commentator she has commentated for BBC World Service and other news outlets on extreme threats – Chinese spy balloon over USA nuclear missile site, uranium package at London Heathrow airport,
cyber; terrorism; aviation losses; nuclear reactor explosions; Kabul 2021 evacuation; South China Sea; Polonium-210 and Novichok poisonings, Beslan siege; Iran; DPRK; USA Presidential security abroad; Covid-19, unexplained incidents such as MH370 and chemical incidents.

Dr Leivesley has held international scientific meetings on issues of catastrophic risk including risks of emerging nuclear weapons, infrastructure resilience including cyber, Covid-19 solutions and hazardous near-earth objects.

Sandip Wadje is Managing Director and Global Head of Emerging Technology Risks at BNP Paribas since 2017 where he is focused on governance and oversight of emerging technology domains such as cloud, artificial intelligence, digital assets, and quantum. Sandip also leads group-wide oversight on all aspects of “outside-in” intelligence collection with a particular focus on external attack surface, geopolitical risks, social media liquidity risk, cyber-posture of corporate clients and emerging threats such as deep fakes or synthetic identities. Sandip also represents the bank at various external forums. Tim has worked in cyber security for over 20 years with a career spanning nuclear, charity, FS and consulting. He has held multiple CISO and deputy CISO roles as well as hands on cyber roles. Tim is an active supporter of the security community, including a recent talk at B-Sides London. He is currently Director  – Cyber Services at BSS, a role which includes leading the Cyber3RM business-line.
